AHLATCI JEWELRY BECOMES THE GOLD EXPORT CHAMPION
Awards were presented to the top companies in jewelry exports at the award ceremony attended by Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan via teleconference. Ahlatcı Jewelry, becoming one of the most important actors not only of the jewelry sector but also of the Turkish economy with the breakthrough it has made in recent years, became Türkiye's gold export champion.
At the "Leaders of Jewelry Export" award ceremony held at the Turkish Exporters Assembly and attended by Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan via teleconference, Türkiye's largest jewelry exporters received their awards from TİM President İsmail Gülle and jewelry Exporters Association President Mustafa Kamar. Ahlatcı Jewelry, which has become one of the most important actors not only of the jewelry sector but also of the Turkish economy, received the "Türkiye's largest gold exporter" award. Ahlatcı Jewelry, which alone realizes a significant part of the total export of its sector, stamped its mark on the peak of exports this year as well.
Answering questions from members of the press at the organization held within the framework of Covid-19 measures, Ahlatcı Holding Chairman of the Board Ahmet Ahlatcı said;
At the top with 1.3 billion dollars export
As Ahlatcı Jewelry, we continue to grow in both domestic and foreign markets. With the 1.3 billion dollars export we realized last year, we are in the position of Türkiye's largest gold exporter. I would like to thank all our colleagues who contributed to achieving this success.
Çorum has become the base of jewelry export
Just a few years ago, we brought our giant-scale gold factory, which has the world's most advanced technology in its field, to life. Gold processed in Çorum, the heart of Anatolia, now adorns the elegance of women all over the world. This is also a source of pride for us. With the figures we have revealed, we can now easily say; 'Çorum became the base of jewelry export'.
Export is more important than ever
Very difficult times are being experienced not only in Türkiye but all over the world due to the covid-19 epidemic. There is a serious contraction in almost every market we operate in. However, as a requirement of Ahlatcı corporate culture, we see these days not as a period to 'make excuses' but to 'create opportunities'. And we continue our work in this direction. Despite all these negativities, we will continue to grow. We are aware of how important export is for our country's economy. Contributing to our country's economy with these efforts is a separate source of pride for us.
